According to the Old Farmer's Almanac:
Cranberries contain malic acid, a natural astringent. Cut open a cranberry and rub it over your chapped lips. This will help strip away dead skin cells while at the same time infusing your lips with protective antioxidants.
I've got whole cranberries in the freezer right now. I'm going to thaw some and give it a try. My lips aren't chapped but I'd like to see how it feels. Anyone else game enough to try it?
I'd give this a try. I'm not a fan of eating cranberries, but do sometimes get chapped lips. Sounds interesting to me!
ReplyDeleteI'm always for trying something natural...like cranberries.
ReplyDeleteDid it work? My lips are always chapped and certain chapsticks make them worse.
ReplyDeleteIt really did feel good on my lips. Be advised however, that when you cut the cranberry open it's going to be very juicy. (I think the red juice might stain although it didn't stain my lips.)
