It's in the Bag
Okay, girls, if you're like me you have a collection of purses. When switching purses what are the essential items you carry with you at all times? See if you agree with the list below:
1.Wallet. Make sure you have your driver's license.
2.Baby Wipes. They clean everything.
3.Mini sewing kit.
4.Pain reliever.
5.Cell phone.
6.Pen.
7.Gum or mints.
8.Pocket mirror.
9.Sunglasses.
10.Lip balm or gloss.
I have everything on that list in my purse except the baby wipes and sewing kit. I also carry a nail clippers, lotion,band-aids, mini-perfume, kleenex, glasses and contact case and more! I was invited to a baby shower where one of the games was to weigh your purse. Mine weighed close to four pounds!! (You can tell that I have a problem using a small purse.)What can I leave out? It all seems very necessary and important. The one really necessary and important thing I can't do without is Gathered From the Garden's purse-size Goat Milk and Honey Lotion. You can get one of your own here.
What's the one essential item you have to have in your purse?

No More Picnik? Say It Isn't So!
Are you going to miss the photo editing site Picnik as much as I am? I was stunned when I heard April 19th was the last day we could use that site. What's a blogging gal to do? Trust another blogger to come to the rescue!
Aimee over at It's Overflowing has researched several free online editing sites. To see which ones she recommends go here. Thanks, Aimee for the great advice. It will make losing Picnik just a little more bearable! (She also has other good tips for beginner photographers like me.)

Food for Thought...
Sometimes we just need to hit "pause" and do a little reflecting...
If tomorrow never came, would you be proud of the last thing you said to each person you love?
If "someday" was only "now", would you do everything you've always put off?
If you knew you had a choice about what kind of life you could be living, would you choose different?
If you knew failure is impossible, what would you do?
If it were true that everyone you meet is you in another body, how would you treat them?
If love was the true currency of the Universe and the more you gave away the more you received, how would you spend it?
If fear were the biggest illusion and the greatest lie of all time, how would you choose to live your life?
If the Universe always supported a life lived towards achieving dreams, how big would you dream?

Wordless Wednesday
My 6 year old granddaughter's self-portrait. (I added the hearts.) She made it as a gift for her uncle who was in Afghanistan.

Help for Hillary
I have enjoyed watching Hillary Clinton over the past years. She is a strong woman who was grace under fire when her husband sort of forgot his wedding vows. A gutsy lady who has to go into foreign countries not as a tourist but as a representative of the United States trying to keep peace. She has also been a working mother. Hillary is smart, articulate and I think just generally a good person.
So that said...Hillary get some help! Have you looked in the mirror lately? We forgave you for wearing headbands back when Bill first got elected and you didn't know better. But now? You are one of the most powerful women in the world. You meet with high stake world leaders. There must be someone you can trust to give you some good fashion advice since it looks like Chelsea hasn't stepped forward. (and that long flip doesn't work either)
Sasha Libby you have given many actresses advice on their look after walking the red carpet. Could you suggest something to help Mrs. Clinton? She's a classy lady, she needs help to look the part!
